Jordan Rondel on Cake

When I’m coming up with new cake recipes and ways to make my cakes look beautiful, I get inspired by pictures like these. The aesthetic for my cakes is fairly humble. I like pastel colours, soft cloud like frostings, fresh fruit, little black specks from real vanilla, honey, nuts and spices. When it comes to celebration cakes, I steer clear of cliche themes and I never use royal icing or sickly sweet buttercream.
