The Proposal: Talisa Sutton of Badlands
Sydney-based designer Talisa Sutton is behind one of our favourite websites, Badlands. She and her boyfriend Rohan were recently engaged, and we asked her to share her very romantic Parisian proposal story.
Rohan proposed on my first ever trip to Paris. It was our five year anniversary and we were celebrating with lunch at the iconic Le Jules Verne restaurant in The Eiffel Tower.
Our table was situated right by the window with a sprawling view of the Trocadero, on a beautiful, sunny winters day.
After the entree and main course, dessert was brought out. We were delighted to see the dessert complete with little candles and ‘joyeux anniversaire’ written on the plates in chocolate.
This was followed with champagne and petit fours, over which Rohan proposed. I was so surprised to see him place the little ring box on the table, there wasn’t a lot of room for him to kneel so he proposed over the table with a delicate Satomi Kawakita cognac diamond ring.
